SCOPE & NATURE OF GOODS
We sell high-quality reproductions of Bauhaus and other modern classics. We are not affiliated with any original licence holders; designer names are used for reference/compatibility only. This page applies to B2C purchases made via bauhausshop.com by consumers resident in the EU or UK. Contract language: English (others where stated).
PRICES, TAXES & DELIVERY COSTS
• Prices are shown in EUR (or as displayed at checkout).
• Shipping costs depend on order volume, product type, and destination. The final delivery cost is displayed clearly during checkout before you pay, with no hidden fees. (EU/UK pre-contract price transparency.) EUR-Lex
• For deliveries outside the EU (including the UK), import VAT/duties may apply; where possible these are shown at checkout, otherwise payable on import (you will see this before confirming the order).
PAYMENT METHODS
• Bank transfer in advance (may include special discounts).
• Cash on Delivery (Germany & Austria only).
• We do not accept credit card payments. Card processors charge high fees which would increase customer prices; avoiding these fees lets us keep prices lower.
Orders paid in advance are processed after funds are received.
ORDER PROCESS & CONTRACT FORMATION
Your order becomes a binding contract when we explicitly accept it (e.g., via order-acceptance or dispatch confirmation). You will receive confirmations on a durable medium.
DELIVERY
Estimated delivery times are shown on each product page. Parcels are trackable; large items are shipped with specialised carriers by appointment. Risk passes upon delivery to you.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (EU/UK CONSUMERS)
Standard cooling-off period: You have 14 calendar days from the day you (or a nominee) receive the goods to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason. EUR-Lex+1
How to withdraw: Email hello@bauhausshop.com with an unambiguous statement. We will acknowledge receipt on a durable medium.
Effects of withdrawal and refunds:
• Return goods within 14 days of notifying withdrawal. EUR-Lex
• You bear the direct cost of return unless we agree otherwise or the item is defective. EUR-Lex
• We refund all payments received, including the cheapest standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of your notice (we may withhold refund until we receive the goods or proof of return). EUR-Lex
• You are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. EUR-Lex
Exceptions (no withdrawal right):
• Made-to-order or clearly personalised goods (e.g., custom upholstery, non-standard finishes).
• Unsealed goods not suitable for return for health/hygiene reasons, once unsealed. Legislation.gov.uk
UK note: The 14-day cancellation right is set out in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; timing/returns mirror the above. EUR-Lex
STATUTORY GUARANTEE / FAULTY GOODS
EU: Consumers benefit from a minimum 2-year legal guarantee for lack of conformity. Remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund under Directive (EU) 2019/771 and national implementations. EUR-Lex+1
UK: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund, followed by rights to repair/replacement and, if unsuccessful, a final price reduction/refund. Legislation.gov.uk+1
Transit damage: please notify us promptly and keep all packaging; we will arrange remedy without delay.
COMPLAINTS & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):
• UK: If we cannot resolve a complaint, we will provide details of a competent ADR entity as required by the ADR Regulations 2015 and state whether we agree to use it for your case. GOV.UK+1

MATERIALS, CUSTOMISATION & TOLERANCES
For custom or made-to-order pieces, minor variations in shade/texture consistent with natural materials are not defects. This does not affect your statutory rights.
DATA PROTECTION
We process personal data only to fulfil your order and provide service. Checkout and account areas use SSL/TLS. Processing follows EU GDPR / UK-GDPR principles of lawfulness, minimisation, and security.
GOVERNING LAW & CONSUMER PROTECTION
Contracts are governed by the laws of UK, European Union, United States, UAE, Hong Kong SAR, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence in the EU or UK (which prevail where required).
