Materials & Finish
The LCW Lounge Chair is crafted entirely from molded plywood, available in natural ash, walnut, or black-stained veneer. Each plywood layer is pressed and finished with a clear protective lacquer, emphasizing the wood grain while providing durability and resistance to wear.
The ergonomically contoured plywood shells distribute weight evenly and reduce pressure points, offering surprising comfort without upholstery. The flexible mounting system adapts subtly to body movement, while the lightweight frame makes the chair easy to reposition. Iconic in form and material clarity, the LCW functions as both seating and a timeless design object.
Comfort & Functionality
The chair is composed of five separate molded plywood elements — seat, backrest, and base components — connected by rubber shock mounts. These mounts allow the backrest and seat to flex gently, enhancing comfort and movement. Precision shaping and layered construction provide structural strength while maintaining a lightweight profile.
