Comfort & Functionality
Compared to the LC2, the LC3 offers deeper and broader cushions, delivering a more relaxed and lounge-oriented seating comfort. The removable cushion system allows easy maintenance and replacement. Its compact yet generous proportions make it suitable for both residential and contract interiors. The armchair combines architectural presence with functional ergonomics, adapting effortlessly to modern living environments.
Materials & Finish
The LC3 Sofa is built with a polished chrome tubular steel frame, resistant to scratches and corrosion. Oversized cushions are upholstered in high-quality aniline leather and filled with polyurethane foam for maximum resilience. The balance of exposed steel and enveloping leather emphasizes the Bauhaus approach to functional clarity and material honesty.
Construction
The cubic steel frame is precision-bent and welded, enclosing the cushions externally to highlight their volume. Reinforced seams and saddle stitching ensure long-term durability of the leather elements. The frame’s structural geometry provides rigidity while maintaining a lightweight appearance. Rounded edges and seamless joints enhance both safety and visual refinement.

Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier (1887–1965), born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris in Switzerland, was a pioneering architect, urban planner, and designer, widely regarded as a master of modernism. He developed radical ideas of functional, rational architecture, emphasizing light, proportion, and open space. His influential works include the Villa Savoye in France, the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille, and the city plan for Chandigarh, India. Le Corbusier also designed iconic furniture pieces, such as the LC2 and LC4, in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. Advocating the “machine for living” philosophy, he reshaped architectural thought and left a lasting global legacy in modern design.
