Materials & Finish
The LC7 Swivel Chair is built on a tubular steel frame finished in polished chrome, ensuring resistance to scratches and corrosion. The seat and backrest are upholstered in high-quality aniline leather, tightly stitched and padded with polyurethane foam for comfort and durability. The visible steel frame contrasts with the soft leather upholstery, reflecting the Bauhaus principle of material clarity.
The chair’s frame is precision-bent tubular steel, welded and polished to ensure strength while maintaining a light appearance. The seat rests on a central swivel base that allows 360° rotation with smooth movement. The rounded backrest is formed from a continuous padded roll, fixed to the frame with leather straps, creating a floating support effect. Reinforced seams and rounded edges enhance structural longevity and safety.
Construction
The padded circular seat offers firm yet ergonomic comfort, supported by dense foam cushioning. The curved backrest adapts naturally to the user’s posture, providing support without restricting movement. The swivel mechanism adds functional versatility, making the LC7 suitable for dining, office, or lounge settings. Its compact geometry and balance of steel and leather integrate seamlessly into modern interiors.

Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier (1887–1965), born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris in Switzerland, was a pioneering architect, urban planner, and designer, widely regarded as a master of modernism. He developed radical ideas of functional, rational architecture, emphasizing light, proportion, and open space. His influential works include the Villa Savoye in France, the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille, and the city plan for Chandigarh, India. Le Corbusier also designed iconic furniture pieces, such as the LC2 and LC4, in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. Advocating the “machine for living” philosophy, he reshaped architectural thought and left a lasting global legacy in modern design.
