Materials & Finish
The chair is made from chrome-plated steel wire with an anti-corrosion treatment. The supporting frame is constructed from tubular steel with a polished chrome finish that is resistant to scratches and oxidation. An optional seat cushion in aniline leather with a high-density foam core provides additional comfort.
Construction
The structure is based on a precision-welded wire grid with cross-braced reinforcement for rigidity. A sled-type base ensures balanced weight distribution and long-term durability. Smooth, rounded edges increase safety and extend the lifespan of the chair.

Comfort & Functionality
Designed for everyday use, the ergonomic wire geometry provides stable seating support. The cushion system is removable and interchangeable. Surfaces are easy to clean and require little maintenance. The lightweight construction makes the chair easy to reposition and adaptable to different settings.

Harry Bertoia
Harry Bertoia (1915–1978) was an Italian-American artist, sculptor, and furniture designer whose work bridged modern design and fine art. After emigrating to the United States in 1930, he studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he developed skills in metalwork and design. Bertoia gained international recognition for his sculptural furniture, particularly the iconic wire chair collection for Knoll (1952), which combined comfort with elegant, airy form. Beyond furniture, he created numerous public sculptures and his renowned “Sonambient” sound sculptures. Bertoia’s inventive exploration of form, material, and sound secured his place as a central figure in 20th-century design.
