Materials & Finish

The Womb Ottoman features a molded wooden frame, upholstered in high-quality cashmere fabric to match the Womb Chair. The cushion is filled with dense foam for resilience and comfort. The base is made of polished stainless steel tubing with a mirror finish, resistant to corrosion and scratches.

The ottoman provides ergonomic leg support when paired with the Womb Chair, enhancing overall seating comfort. It can also function as an independent footrest or additional seating. Lightweight yet sturdy, it is easy to reposition. Its compact form and matching upholstery make it the perfect complement to the Womb Chair in modern living or lounge settings.

Comfort & Functionality

The cushion is hand-padded and upholstered in finely woven cashmere, with reinforced stitching for durability. The frame is supported by a tubular stainless steel base, welded and polished for structural stability. The design mirrors the lines of the Womb Chair, creating a cohesive and balanced set.

Eero Saarinen

Eero Saarinen (1910–1961) was a Finnish-American architect and industrial designer, celebrated for his bold, sculptural forms and innovative approach to modernism. Son of architect Eliel Saarinen, he studied at Yale before joining the family practice and later establishing his own. Saarinen’s iconic works include the TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and the Dulles International Airport terminal. In furniture design, he created timeless pieces for Knoll, such as the Tulip Chair and Pedestal Table, which eliminated “the slum of legs.” Saarinen’s visionary designs fused elegance, functionality, and expressive modern form.
